Events organized by other clubs: Unless specified otherwise, the club does not register for events organized by others. The "going there" button serves to tell others that you're coming, for instance to ease car-sharing.

Meet at |
Under the red bridge behind the P&R Lohr in Mersch. It’s the one south of the river, near the Cactus roundabout. The Luxembourg Orienteering beach flag is currently missing in action! Public transport – Trains from Luxembourg Gare Centrale at 17.44, 17.53 (slow), 18.06, 18.16, and 18.23 (slow) – each about 4 minutes later from Pfaffenthal. Journey time 16 to 23 minutes. Walk back for about 250 metres under the big red bridge. Trains back to Luxembourg run every 15 minutes or so mid-evening. |
|
Facilities |
Very few. No dedicated place to change. Bags and bikes can be left safely. |
|
Start times |
18:30 until 19:15 (at the latest). Controls will be removed starting at 20:00, please be back by then, as it will be getting dark! |
|
Entries |
No fee – but please sign up via the Calendar on the LuxO website, saying which course you would like to do. Or let orienteer@orienteering.lu know at least a day in advance if you plan to come, and are not a LuxO member. Please sign up no later than 12.00 on the day, so we can print the right number of maps that afternoon, and have you already set up in the timing system. Everyone is welcome, not just LuxO members. Help and explanations will gladly be provided for beginners. |
|
Start point |
Start and finish are both adjacent to the meeting point. |
|
Format |
Three courses
Distances are straight line – optimum routes are ±40% longer. Planner – Cedric Guthier. Controls must be visited in the order set. Flags are 15cm kites. |
|
Timing |
Timing at each control using SPORTident (SIAC enabled). Bring your own SI timing chip if you can, but if not, you can borrow a LuxO one. Results of all participants to the nearest second will be published. |
|
Map |
ISSprOM 1;3,000, 5 metre contours. Laser-printed, on Pretex semi-waterproof A3 paper. New map by Cedric Guthier. |
|
Terrain |
Part grassy park, part town centre and nearby urban streets. Street running or training shoes optimal if the weather is dry. |
|
Safety |
Everyone takes part entirely at their own risk. Please take great care, especially on or crossing the more main roads – you do not have priority! High visibility clothing strongly recommended. |

I would like to register for the deer course. I cannot find the “going there” button in Safari browser

Well…browser quirks. The going button appeared once I pushed a white box under the comment. It is the submit box but it only shows submit and the going button after you touch it

The "going there" and "see details" buttons have vanished, despite being logged in. Which means I can't pre-register people for this evening.

The pre-registration button has vanished as intended – the organiser has set the registration deadline to Sep 10 at noon. Your comment was at approx 1pm.
Please email me with screenshots if you have details. Thanks!
