Our very first Club Championships ! Trier OL Klub have very kindly offered to allow us to be part of their e vent\, which is also the championship race for the two Lander of Rheinland -Pfalz and Saarland. We should all compete on one of two courses – a ~5km course for all adults\, and a short\, easy ~1.5km course for children unde r 13.
\n\nAlthough the event offers the usual range of classes\, the idea is that Luxembourg OC will all compete against each other on the sam e course\, as we don’t have enough Luxembourg orienteers to make a champio nship by class a worthwhile option. But we will try to design a handicap f ormula\, so we will end up with a mens’ champion\, a womens’ champion\, a boys’ champion\, a girls’s champion – and a handicap champion – so we all have a chance of winning! All members are very welcome to participate – yo u don’t have to be an aspiring champion – it will be a good course in a ni ce forest.
\n\nPlease “pre-enter” before Sunday 15 October\, simply by sending an email to j.pfannkuchen@trimmelter-sv.de\, c onfirming your family name\, given name\, club (LuxOC)\, normal orienteeri ng class (e.g. D21\, H40 etc.)\, and number of your own SI “chip” (or say “to hire”). Please also say whether you want to do the “Luxembourg Champio nships” course or the “Luxembourg Childrens’ Championship” course. You wil l need to pay the entry fee on the day – EUR 6.00 for over 18’s\, EUR 4.00 for children\, plus EUR 2.00 to hire an SI “chip”.
