Tell the organizer that you're coming

Log in to tell whether you go, or not.

Events organized by the club: To ease communication with the organizers of an event organised by LuxOC, register using the "going there" button on the event page. Drop a note to let others know some details. See who's going and their notes by clicking "review details".

Events organized by other clubs: Unless specified otherwise, the club does not register for events organized by others. The "going there" button serves to tell others that you're coming, for instance to ease car-sharing.

Meet at

Bambësch, at the basketball court to the north of the playground. Watch out for the LuxOC banner. (If you're unsure, click on the globe icon just above and then click on "OpenTopoMap".)

Parking near the playground/tennis courts.

Facilities

Basic – you can leave your bags with us. There is a shelter to put bags in in case of rain.

Start times

10.00 until 11.30. Please be back at the finish by around 12.00.

Entries

No fee – but please sign up on the Club website, and say which course you would like to do. Or let orienteer@orienteering.lu know at least a day in advance if you plan to come, and are not a LuxOC Club member (why not join?!).

Start point

Start and finish are both very close to the meeting point.

Format

Three courses:

Squirrel – short (about 1,3 km), very easy, for beginners and families, entirely on paths.

Rabbit – medium (about 2,2 km), for beginners and families, entirely on paths.

Deer – longer (about 3,5 km), also entirely on paths. As we are not allowed to run off the paths, don't expect it to be too technical, but there are ups and downs.

Timing

No timing, it's a completely informal event, only for fun and for learning.

Map

1:5000, updated in 2020.

Terrain

Forest. Be careful - after Monday's torrenttial rain, there are some fallen branches (quite big ones as well) on the paths.

Safety

Everyone takes part entirely at their own risk.

Looking forward to seeing many of you there!
