Meet at

Parc Klosegroendchen, Kirchberg, behind the hospital. Watch out for the LuxOC banner, you’ll see it from Boulevard Pierre Werner. We’ll be waiting for you
Southeast of the ponds. (If you're unsure, click on the globe icon just above and then click on "OpenTopoMap".)

Parking along Boulevard Pierre Werner and the neighbouring streets. Don't forget that the Red Bridge is closed until 18.00 on Sunday!

Facilities

Basic – no covered area, but you can leave your bags with us.

Start times

10.00 until 11.15. Please be back at the finish by 12.00!

Entries

No fee – but please sign up on the Club website, and say which course you would like to do. Or let orienteer@orienteering.lu or know at least a day in advance if you plan to come, and are not a LuxOC Club member (why not join?!).

Start point

Start and finish are both within 100 metres of the meeting point.

Format

Three courses:

Squirrel – around 1,5 km, easy for beginners and families. Entirely in the park.

Rabbit - around 3,8 km, for braver beginners or experienced runners, mostly in the forest over the highway.

Deer – around 5 km, for more experienced runners, mostly in the forest over the highway.

Timing

SportIdent (SIAC enabled). Bring your SI timing chip if you have one, but if not, you can borrow one of the Club’s.

Map

Squirrels run on 1:4000, Rabbits and Deer on 1:7500. The paper is not waterproof - please bring a plastic bag in case it rains (we'll have some with us).

Terrain

For Squirrels it's a park area with larger and small paths. Be careful, there will be sheep grazing. Try not to disturb them too much. For Rabbits and Deer, it is a proper forest terrain, essentially on paths.

Safety

Everyone takes part entirely at their own risk.

Looking forward to seeing many of you there!

    Hi!

A potential first time 1xdeer here if registering is still doable for tomorrow. Another ask would be to be able start ~11.30 (if it means going without timing & some controls are already collected, thats perfectly fine).

Welcome! It's ok. We're not in a great hurry with collecting the forest controls.
