Tell the organizer that you're coming

Log in to tell whether you go, or not.

Events organized by the club: To ease communication with the organizers of an event organised by LuxOC, register using the "going there" button on the event page. Drop a note to let others know some details. See who's going and their notes by clicking "review details".

Events organized by other clubs: Unless specified otherwise, the club does not register for events organized by others. The "going there" button serves to tell others that you're coming, for instance to ease car-sharing.

In your profile (link on top of the page) give your family or friends the right to say "going there" on your behalf.

Gabi, Orsi and David are looking forward to seeing you at our spring training session in Klosegroendchen Park. We are trying to make sure real spring arrives by then!

Feel free to advertise the event among your friends, as it is suitable also for beginners and families wanting to get to know the sport.

Where

Parc Klosegroendchen, Kirchberg, behind the hospital. Watch out for the LuxOC banner, you’ll see it from Boulevard Pierre Werner. We’ll be waiting for you Southeast of the middle pond (see map above, clicking on the little globe icon).

Parking along Boulevard Pierre Werner and the neighbouring streets.

Facilities

Basic – no covered area, but you can leave your bags with us.

Start times

14.30 until 16.00

Entries

No fee – but please sign up on the Club website, and say which course you would like to do. Or let orienteer@orienteering.lu know at least a day in advance if you plan to come, and are not a LuxOC Club member (why not join?!).

Format

Three courses

  • Rabbit – short (1,9 km) and easy for beginners and families. Entirely in the park (not in the residential area). It consists of two loops, feel free to choose one or do both.
  • Squirrel – 4,1 km, traditional course for more experienced runners, partly in the park, partly in the residential area.
  • Deer - 4,1 km, a tricky course (or rather a tricky map) for those really experienced orienteers who know the area well and/or want to challenge themselves.

Timing

SPORTident (SIAC enabled). Bring your SI timing chip if you have one, but if not, you can borrow one of the Club’s.

Map

1:4000. Laser-printed, on semi-waterproof paper.

Looking forward to seeing many of you there!
