Parc municipal de Mersch, by the gazebo near the toddler playground. Look for the Luxembourg OC beach flag.

Parking – Parking Schlasspech. From there it’s about a 5-minute walk.

Public transport – Train to Mersch, and then walk for 10 minutes.
Facilities None at all. The event will be outdoors, based on some benches and a gazebo (in case of rain about 15 people can fit in). Someone will be there all the time, so it is safe to leave bags.
Event times Start from about 10.00 until 11.30. Controls will be removed from 12.30 – please report back to the meeting point by then.
Entries Sign up on the website, preferably until 10th May. You can also just turn up on the morning, we will enter your details into the timing system. No fee.
Start point Start and finish will both be within 50 metres of the meeting point.

This morning event is planned mainly for families with children, but experienced runners can have fun as well.

Five courses

Squirrel A      1.3 km – an easy course for children (with parents)

Squirrel B      1.4 km – for those who want another go!

Rabbit           2.6 km – sprint orienteering, for adults and older children

Deer A          3.5 km – Very tricky map for experienced runners

Deer B          3.5 km – Another very tricky map for those who want another go! Tricky in a different way.

No climb on any course. Straight line distances given.

Flags are 15cm kites. Courses will be timed using the SPORTident (SIAC enabled) system. Bring your own SI “dibber” if you have one, but if not, you are very welcome to borrow one of the Club’s. Results will not be posted on the web afterwards.
