The 2023 edition of Interland is now confirmed. LuxOC has been invited to this annual international competition bringing together five orienteering federations (VVO / Flanders, FRSO /Wallonia, NOLB / the Netherlands, LHFCO / Norther France and EOC / England) and now, for the first time, Luxembourg. This is a major honour for LuxOC and we’re hoping to do our utmost to represent our club well. To do that, we will need as many runners as possible for the event on March 5 on the tricky but exciting Kattenbos map near Lommel in Flanders (some of us are familiar with that map, for better or worse). Three runners per category are needed in the following classes: M14, M17, M20, M Open (21-39), M40, M50, M60, W14, W17, W20, W Open (21-39), W40, W50 and W60. In addition, we will need to tell the organizers as soon as possible how many of us would like to stay over in accommodation provided by them (for a modest fee – to be picked up by the club). The accommodation (Dommelhof Sportcentrum) is nearly full – I have tried to book at least 10 spots for those of us who would like to stay overnight.
Please let me know at your earliest convenience 1/ if you (and/or your family members) are free to run for LuxOC on 5 March, 2023 and 2/ if you want to stay in Lommel overnight from Saturday, March 4 to Sunday, March 5. A training race will be organized by VVO on March 4. If more than 10 club members will want to stay in Lommel overnight, the alternative will be to look for group accommodation ourselves. And obviously we can carpool to get to Flanders.
A bit of Interland history.

Is there still any possibility to participate in Interland 2023 with Luxembourg Orienteering Club?
