The 2024 edition of this venerable event will take place, as luck would have it, in southern Wallonia (to be confirmed).
A small explainer for those who did not participate in the 2023 edition, to which we were invited as guests: Interland is an annual competition of five teams (VVO/Flanders,
FRSO/Wallonia, NOLB/the Netherlands, LHFCO/Northern France and EOC/England), which will hopefully feature a sixth one, LuxOC. This year was our year zero – we were missing some key runners and finished at the back of the pack. To use the Radio Luxembourg music charts lingo (anyone as old as me to remember that?) – in 2023 we were a new entry, while next year we should aim to be the highest climber (let’s just avoid falling off the charts and striving to be a re-entry in a couple of years!). It is well within our powers to beat the Dutch and potentially one other team if we manage to rally our troops. We will need three runners per category in the following classes: M/W 14, 17, 20, Elite, 40, 50 and 60+.
